Turning Corners is a Hull-based not-for-profit charity supporting recovery, training and social inclusion through hands-on woodworking and recycling. Join us in our workshop to rediscover purpose, build confidence and take positive steps back toward work and wellbeing after a mental health setback, brain injury, or serious bout of depression.
Together, let's craft a brighter future.
At Turning Corners, we support people across Hull and East Yorkshire who are rebuilding their lives after mental health challenges, brain injuries or difficult times. Our workshop offers purpose, friendship, and the chance to regain confidence one step at a time.

A welcoming and supportive woodworking workshop where people can learn practical skills, build confidence, and feel part of a community again. Through hands-on training and guidance, attendees gain experience that can help them move toward further education, volunteering, or employment. It’s a space to rediscover purpose, make friends, and take meaningful steps back into everyday life - a place where everyone can truly be themselves again.

We’re located within the grounds of the Active+ Sports and Entertainment Venue on Harpings Road in Hull, East Yorkshire.

Every time you buy one of our attendee-created products, you're doing more than acquiring a unique item; you're directly helped our attendees' on their road to recovery. Moreover, you're making a significant impact on the environment by repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. Each purchase is a powerful step towards both social sustainability and a greener planet.
